Tour the Farmhouse
Main-Begg Farmhouse (MBF) is open on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Docent-led house and garden tours are offered at 11:30 am and 1:00 pm (tours last approximately 45 minutes). Reservations are required. Self-guided tours are not permitted. Drop-ins are welcome if space is available. MBF is closed on major holidays.
Admission is free. Donations are graciously accepted.

Main-Begg Farmhouse Visitor Guidelines
- Parking is limited near the garage. Please plan to carpool or use other transportation methods.
NOTE: MTD Lines 6 and 11 frequently stop at convenient bus stops very close to the Main-Begg Farmhouse at Hollister Ave. and South San Marcos Rd.

- No outside food or drinks are permitted, except for water. Water can be purchased on site for a nominal fee.
- All visitors are advised that there are uneven surfaces, and low hanging branches of trees on this historic property. Caution must be exercised. Sensible footwear is strongly recommended. Please contact us if you are unable to climb stairs or walk on uneven grounds.
- Individuals experiencing cough or fever should not visit MBF. Face coverings are not mandatory, use personal discretion. Please practice social distancing.
- Trained service animals are permitted, domestic animals are not permitted anywhere at Main-Begg Farmhouse. Pets cannot be left unattended in parked vehicles during your tour. Please leave pets safely at home.
- Main-Begg Farmhouse is a smoke-free environment. No Smoking, nor vaping is permitted. Additionally, chewing tobacco and gum are discouraged.
- Photography is allowed outdoors throughout the garden and inside the Farmhouse.
- Tripods are not permitted.
- By entering Main-Begg Farmhouse, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with your visit, including but not limited to risk of personal injury and illness.
PLEASE NOTE: We will do our best to be open in all weather conditions, however, in the event of predicted heavy rain storms, we may need to postpone the tours. We will give you 24-hours’ notice, so please check for an email from us the day before your scheduled tour.
Private & Group Tours
For private or group docent-led tour reservations for 1-30 persons, please email info@main-beggfarmhouse.org. A nominal fee will be requested for private & group tours. Private & group tours can be conducted on any day of the week when scheduling permits.
